Procedure for Experiment
- Collect all the materials you are going to be using for this Experiment
- Observe water and oil
- Pour dish soap at the higher concentrations of oil
- Pour baking soda & vinegar in ( didn't work particularly well)
- Make notes on how well the dish soap and baking soda & vinegar were at containing and absorbing
- Use paper towel as a barrier to push oil to a corner of the container
- Use cotton balls to then absorb the oil that is held by the paper towel and container
- Continue step 7 until satisfied that majority of oil has been absorbed
- Absorb remaining droplets of oil with the left over cotton balls and, if you have any, paper towel
- Note how effective the paper towels and cotton balls were at both containing and absorbing
