Water Slide VS. Turlington's Dog
I thought that the Water Slide and Turlington's Dog were both great stories but I enjoyed The Water Slide more then Turlington's Dog because it captures exactly what bored kids do along with the fact more happened and that Eugene brought the story together.
I can relate to the Water Slide more than Turlington's Dog because one i don't have a dog and Water Slide is about what kids do when your bored many a times in the past iv'e done silly things for entertainment.
I would recommend the Water Slide to friends because of the sheer amount of laughs you get from that story
I enjoy both comedic and dramatic stories but usually i prefer shorter comedic stories because of a quick laugh and longer dramatic stories because it is something you can get into.

Colorada wild fire threatens water suply
On July 26 sign's of fire were noticed around the Rampart Reservoir, a critical water-storage facility for Colorado Springs. This fire called The Waldo Canyon Fire burnt almost 18,000 acres of land, the wind helped spread this fire. The manager of Rampart said "It hasn't consumed the reservoir, but could have long-lasting effects on water quality—and even quantity."
How? Fires burns flora and evidently creates ash and debris. Many of the flora produce a waxy substance when burnt, this makes the burnt area almost water repellent so when it does rain the water cant be absorbed resulting in flash floods and erosion. The ashes and debris combined with excess water clog up the rivers, lakes and reservoirs, ultimately causing the price of water treatment to go up.
In order to counter the effects they have replanted trees and invested in sediment control structures.
