Text to Text
The Story of The Sniper by Liam O'Flaherty is a tale of how war caused an IRA sniper to shoot and kills his brother. "One" by Metallica is about what warfare can do to individuals. It details the hell on earth of a wounded soldier who is left nearly immobile as well as deaf, dumb and blind but unable to die. The lyrics are "Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, wake me
Now the world is gone I'm just one
Oh God,help me hold my breath as I wish for death"
When the Sniper kills his brother I thought of song because, the Sniper shot his brother imagine the mental agony. His event would make you turn your back on war and you would think that it is just you now, like the line "Now the world is gone I'm just one"
